Christmas is almost here. Let's have a party! And play tennis too! 2009 WACTA Christmas Party /Social Tennis will be held on Saturday, December 19, at the Four Seasons Tennis Club. The Xmas party is a potluck party so everyone should bring a dish to share. WACTA will also order some food and drinks, provide plates, napkins and chopsticks. No fee will be collected to peoples attending the party only and not playing the social game. We will prize drawing and other activities also. Please come and party with us! The social tennis event is open to WACTA members and their guests. For qualifications and rules, please refer to the rule section below. Social tennis registration deadline is December 13, 2009. Registration fee, $15 per member and $20 for non-active members or guests, is due at check in time, at 6:45pm, on 12/19/2009. WACTA reserves the right to cancel or combine any groups due to insufficient registrations. Please note there is a $50 no-show fee. For any reasons, if you could not make it after registration, please find a sub and notify event director. We will also have a mini-team tennis competition for those who enjoy competitive tennis. For those who are interested, please indicate in the registration notice -"interested in competitive tennis". The format is men's double and mix-double, and details are still being finalized. The mini-TTS is organized and selected by team captains, so there's no guarantee all interested players will be selected though. Due to severe weather condition, Christmas/Social Tennis is canceled on Dec.19th.

Applicants
Social Tennis format
* There will be a total of 10 courts and 5 hours. Playing all doubles.* We will recommend more advance players to play lower number of courts, e.g. 4.5 and above should play court 3 and under, 3.5 or lower should play court 8 and above, but this is not a must.
* Players are recommended to play games, but this can be determined by the players on the court.
* 5 hours will be divided into 6x 50 minutes flights. A, B, C, D, E, F
* Flight A will start 7pm, flight B will start 7:50 pm, then flight C 8:40, D 9:30, E 10:40, F 11:10.
* At 7:50 when flight B starts, all flight A players should leave the courts.
* The Initial flights like A and B may be pre-assigned by the organizer. After these flights we will go by the sign-up sheets.
* Sign up for the next flight won't start until the current flight is ongoing. e.g. sign-up for flight C will start after 7:50 pm;
* We will take less than 80 registered players so we can ensure each registered participant to be able to participate 3 flights with a total of 2 and half hours;
* Each registered players will be given 3 sticky labels with their names, to be pasted to the sign-up sheet;
* The fee for each active WACTA players will be $15. Non-member guest will pay $20. Non-active members will have a choice to pay $20 or $15 plus the membership fee to renew the membership.
* The fee will cover court fees, tennis balls and price drawing.
